Structure:

Piezoelectric sensors are typically composed of a piezoelectric material (such as quartz, PZT, or PVDF) sandwiched between two electrodes. When mechanical stress or vibration is applied, the piezoelectric material generates an electrical charge proportional to the applied force. The basic structure includes:

1. Piezoelectric Element: The core component that converts mechanical energy into electrical signals.

2. Electrodes: Conductive layers on both sides of the piezoelectric material to collect the generated charge.

3. Protective Layer: Encases the sensor to protect it from environmental factors like moisture or physical damage.

4. Signal Conditioning Circuit: Often integrated to amplify and process the weak electrical signals.


Application Fields:

1. Industrial Automation: Used for vibration monitoring, pressure sensing, and impact detection in machinery.

2. Medical Devices: Employed in ultrasound imaging, blood pressure monitors, and wearable health sensors.

3. Consumer Electronics: Integrated into touchscreens, microphones, and haptic feedback systems.
